At Least the Tailgate was Fun!

The day began on a bright note. The weather was BEAUTIFUL, the BATT members were in high spirits, and the spirits were FLOWING! What could possibly go wrong? Well....besides an intereception thrown in the first 15 seconds, a defense who did not come ready to play, and a loss to an SEC rival! However, the Krewe of BATT will continue...undaunted! Our love for the Tigers runs DEEP! We will hold our breaths, cross our fingers, beat Tulane next week, and PRAY for the V over our mortal enemies........ALABAMA!

Jeremy finally gave credence to what Tall Anteater has been screaming for years.....with regards to Short Anteater (who, by the way, is easily distracted by anything shiny). Jeremy arrived at the tailgate, found TA working hard and asked, "TA, do you set this thing up by yourself?" SA was MIA at the time....distracted by the addition of a new generator in a neighboring tailgate.

A Debt Repaid

Many years ago.......back when the world was young and Heather only had one child.........The Tall Anteater and Jane made a bet. TA bet Jane that her daughter would have a child long before the M's decided to procreate again. The loser would have to serve shrimp to the winner on the beach. Well.......H did all she could to aid in her father's winning of said bet. Alas......it would come to pass that a little M would join the world before Nancy decided to join the Mommy Club. Over the years.....comments have been shared, back and forth, as to when the payment would come to fruition. With the horseshoe bunch no longer traveling yearly to the beach....it seemed that J might never receive her due. But......on Saturday......TA made good on his debt and served her the shrimp her offspring's birth control had bought her!

Clayton said TA was a fool to bet on something he had no control over! Heather told Clayton we would no longer speak of this issue as the topic and the company with whom it was discussed made her MORE than a little uncomfortable!

The Krewe of BATT enjoyed its third tailgate of the year.....with no threats of hurricanes, contra-flow issues, and lovely weather....it was a great day! A day only topped off by the 34-24 win over the MSU Bulldogs!

Getting Ready for the Big Day!

The Rebel, Joe-Mike, as well as the Tall and Short Anteater were on the job last week prepping our beloved site for the tailgating fun that will begin in FOUR short days! (WOO-HOO! Can't you just hear the beers opening as we speak?) The ants were eradicated and the site was checked for any other unwanted visitors. The four men put their heads together and located the perfect spot for the optimal satellite viewing.

A word of warning for those Krewe members who plan to be overserved on Saturday. There is a limb near our site that is hanging so low that even Joe-Mike had to duck to get under it. Be sure to take precautions to acclimate yourself with this hazard before the liquor renders you unable to do so! Heather will NOT be available to take any clumsy person to Urgent Care as she has retired her title as "Driver of the Drunk Tigers" after last season!

Get ready for a rip-roarin' good time......and you never know WHO will end up on the blog!
