Really Important "Stuff"

The Krewe of B.A.T.T. held their annual "Stuff Party" on Saturday, August 12 at the lovely home of Jim and Jane T. Many BATTers were in attendance. Jane started off the party quickly with her preparation of "Adult Snowballs". Unfortunately, the youngest BATTer and her mother, Robin, were not able to indulge in the debauchery. Next came margaritas on the rocks and exciting conversation. This was interrupted only slightly, when we stopped to enjoy the delicious fajitas that our resident chefs prepared. After many beverages were consumed, and many bellies were filled with Mexican food, the group convened on the veranda to discuss important "stuff". Jim T ran the meeting. Heather M fought valiantly to save her right for "brown likker" and was given victory! Of course, she was forced to take an oath that had her promising never to share said likker with one highly devious Jack Daniels- loving LP employee. BATTers were introduced to the newest members of the krewe, Marie and Joel. Marie instantly cemented her place in the group by volunteering to make the jello shots for each game! LET'S HEAR IT FOR MARIE!!!!!!!!!! The group was also shocked and amazed when they were told the news that Nick would actually bring his decades long sponging lifestyle to a close with an actual paying membership in the krewe. GO NICK!!!!! Jim then informed the BATTers that Jerry M was donating a van. This, of course, was followed by Jim volunteering himself and Joe-Mike to pay for any repairs the van would need. WAY TO GO BIG SPENDERS!!!!!!! Of course, nothing could ever take the place of the rolling limo that is the Suburban. Only Krewe of B.A.T.T. could know someone willing to keep an automobile for NO other reason than to drive to tailgates! After the meeting adjourned, the drinking and merriment continued. The night ended with continual harassment of one Bill M, who made the mistake of trying to tell his fellow BATTers a story about his recent encounter with an Alaskan moose. What type of convertible was that again? It's going to be a great season! GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!
